Receiving over 80,000 hits each month, the official website of the Wanderers is one of the most successful in the Football League, providing a number of breaking news and public interest stories every day.

In addition, the site hosts a fantastic video service called Chairboys Player, which provides exclusive interviews and match highlights from the Blues to its subscribers, who pay just £34.99 per year for the privilege.

As part of the Player service, supporters can also listen to a full-match commentary from every first-team fixture, so if you're unable to make it to the stadium to watch the game then you can still keep up-to-date with all the action as it happens.

History

The site was originally maintained by Alan Hutchinson, with assistance from Mark Austin and Suzie Clarke, before Catherine Long was employed to oversee the relaunch of the website when it changed to the PremiumTV format. Steve Gales later joined the team for a spell before James Skitt arrived at the club and helped transform the site - particularly Wanderers World, which became Chairboys Player in 2009.

In January 2005, Catherine left the club and was replaced by Matt Beadle, and during Matt's reign in charge, the site was nominated for a Football League award. Matt and James both left the club in the summer of 2007, and were replaced by Matt Cecil and Dale Hurman, while Alan Parry also came on board as the new Head of Media and PR.

Matt moved to Leeds University in September 2007 but continues to contribute to the site, with Ross Jeavons being appointed as his replacement following a successful spell on work experience. Dale Hurman left the club in December 2007 to be replaced by Ben Campbell, with Callum Medcraft joining the team in September 2008 as production manager, working predominantly with the new big screen at Adams Park.

The team were rewarded with the 'Most Improved Website of the Year' award at a Football League seminar in May 2009 before Ross Jeavons departed for a similar role at Reading FC in September that year.

Meet The Team

Name: Ben Campbell
Age: 23
Position: Media/PR Assistant
Favourite Wanderers legend: Martin O'Neill
Earliest Wycombe memory: The 4-0 win away at Mansfield on the second day of the job!
Interesting fact: I am a Level 4 referee and can officiate as a 4th official on the Wanderers' reserve team games.

After completing both his GCSE'S and A-Levels at Harlington Upper School, Bedfordshire, Ben went to the University of Central Lancashire in Preston where he gained a 2:1 honours degree in Sports Journalism.

Before joining the WWFC media team in January of 2008 he had spells of freelance work as a sports reporter for a well respected sports journalism agency, Hayters, where he covered Wycombe after finishing his spell at the Non League Today paper.

He understands the fans fondness towards Martin O'Neill as he has supported O'Neill's new club Aston Villa since he can remember. He made his debut commentating alongside colleague Ross Jeavons in the 4-0 win at Mansfield.

Name: Matt Cecil
Age: 22
Position: Northern Correspondent
Favourite Wanderers legend: Martin Taylor
Earliest Wycombe memory: Seeing Jason Cousins score in the first few minutes of the 1993 FA Trophy Final at Wembley, at the young of age of 5.
Interesting fact: Keith Ryan's last ever match on the Adams Park pitch was alongside Matt in a charity match against an ASDA Staff XI in May 2007.

Matt's first involvement with the media team came during a four-week work experience spell in August 2005, and he was given the opportunity to work alongside Bill Turnbull in the gantry for the next two seasons.

When BBC Three Counties started providing commentary of the Blues' away fixtures in 2006, they invited Matt to take the role of pundit alongside Ian Stringer, and Matt also enjoyed an eight-week stint at the radio station on their Saturday Sports Show later that year.

Whilst working for the Food & Beverage Department in his gap year during the 2006/07 campaign, Matt was offered the chance to take over from Matt Beadle as website manager, and oversaw the transition into the new format of the site before leaving in August 2007 to begin an English degree at the University of Leeds.

Matt is an avid supporter of the club and travels to the Blues' away fixtures in the north of England to provide the commentary and match reports during the game, and still contributes to the website and programme from afar.
