Gareth Ainsworth has landed an exciting addition to the squad with the signing of Reading forward Rowan Liburd on a one-month loan.
The 23-year-old has excelled for the Royals' youth team with 11 goals in 14 appearances so far this season, catching the eye of the Chairboys boss who was keen to strengthen his attacking options following the loss of Paris Cowan-Hall to injury.
Liburd started his footballing career with a four-year scholarship in America before returning to the UK, where he scored 22 goals in a blistering five-month spell for Isthmian Premier League side Billericay Town last season.
That prolific spell was enough to earn the 6'3" striker a summer move to the Madejski Stadium, where he has made three appearances in the Championship so far this campaign as well as starring for their under-21s, who play their home games at the Blues' Adams Park home.
Ainsworth said: "I've seen Reading's under-21s play on countless occasions and he's scored virtually every time. He's a big lad who's very quick across the ground and knows where the goal is, and we're very much looking forward to working with him.
"As with any new player, we have to be careful not to expect too much from him too soon, but he is someone we're confident can give us another dimension up front and I'm sure the fans will warm to him very quickly.
"I'd like to thank Reading for allowing us to take him on loan and we hope we can help to continue his progress. We have an excellent relationship with them, which has been helped by us hosting their under-21 home fixtures, and there may well be more opportunities in the future for us to give Football League experience to their young talents."
Rowan will wear squad number 12 during his time with the club.
