Defender Jason McCarthy will remain with the club until February 3rd after manager Gareth Ainsworth successfully extended the 20-year-old's loan spell from Southampton.
McCarthy joined from the Premier League club in October and has featured in every game, playing at right-back, centre-back and even in goal during his 15 matches so far.
His first ever senior goal came in a 1-1 draw at AFC Wimbledon in November before he netted the winner on derby day against Oxford United before Christmas, and has played his part in five clean sheets.
Ainsworth said: "Jason has applied himself brilliantly from the moment he joined the club and has become an integral part of one of the meanest defences in League 2.
"He's shown his versatility in playing in different positions across the defence and I'm delighted to be able to keep him for another month."
