Wycombe Wanderers will reveal plans for a Professional Development Phase scheme at their fans forum at Adams Park on Thursday evening.

Chairman Andrew Howard and manager Gareth Ainsworth will present a plan for expanding the pool of players available to the first-team by building on its recent successes of nurturing young talent.

The programme will require funding from supporters and businesses to reach its objectives, which could ultimately give the club the option of reinstating a youth department.

Former youth team product Matt Ingram - now with Queens Park Rangers - will be a special guest at the fans forum, along with current first-team star Luke O’Nien, who signed for the club in the summer following his release from Watford. The 21-year-old’s impressive start to life at Adams Park has demonstrated the value in the club signing young talent and developing their game, increasing the player’s chances of returning to the high level of football from which he arrived.

The fans forum starts in the Vere Suite at 7.30pm, with doors open from 6pm. Food (lasagne and curry) and drink will be available. There will be the opportunity to ask questions to the panel.
