Blues kick off their npower League 2 campaign with a tough game at Gary Mills’ newly-promoted side, but the midfielder believes the performance at Vicarage Road showed what the squad are capable of.
“We showed the fans at Watford what we are about and that came off the back of a very disappointing evening against Brentford,” Bloomfield told Chairboys Player.
“It was important that we gave ourselves and the fans that travelled to see us a performance and thankfully we did that. It gives us confidence going into the York game and that’s when the real work starts.
“We were so disappointed not to get through to the next round, but the league season starts on Saturday and that is when the real business begins.”
