Wycombe's survival hopes were dealt a blow as they were beaten 4-0 at struggling Chesterfield.
Goals from Craig Westcarr, Franck Moussa, Alex Mendy and Jordan Bowery did for the Blues who turned in lacklustre display.
Wycombe had the first chance of the game in the second minute when neat link-up from Stuart Beavon and Chris Hackett saw the on-loan winger through on goal, but Chesterfield keeper Tommy Lee narrowed the angle well and made the save.
Beavon slashed a shot wide after good work from Matt Bloomfield as the Wanderers started the game the brighter of the sides.
The hosts started to get a foothold in the game, though, and Alex Mendy scuffed an effort which Nikki Bull comfortably saved after Craig Westcarr had broken down the right.
Craig Eastmond and Mark Randall exchanged long-range efforts before Mendy headed over from close-range when he should have done better.
Mendy had another shot deflected wide, but Westcarr stabbed home the resulting corner in the 29th minute.
The Blues failed to clear the set-piece and top scorer Westcarr tapped in from little more than a yard following a goalmouth scramble.
Anthony Stewart produced a fine challenge to prevent Westcarr who looked well placed, before Stuart Lewis had an effort deflected wide following build-up play involving Chris Hackett, Bloomfield and Beavon.
Franck Moussa drilled a low effort wide from 20 yards as the Blues' defence backed off too far and that capped a disappointing first half for Gary Waddock's side, who seemed slower to the majority of loose balls.
Wycombe started the second half brightly and Gary Doherty shot straight at Lee from McCoy's cross, but the Wanderers fell two behind in the 46th minute.
A quick break from the hosts saw Moussa given far too much space on the edge of the area and he fired low to Bull's right, giving the Wycombe keeper no chance.
It was 3-0 five minutes later when Mendy brushed off McCoy's challenge, cut in from the left and curled an unstoppable effort past Bull.
Bull kept it to three in the 58th minute when he somehow kept out Jimmy Juan's header from Moussa's corner when Wycombe again fell asleep at a set-piece.
Bloomfield saw an effort deflected over the bar after Lewis' surging run from midfield and substitute Matt McClure went just wide with a low left-footed from the edge of the area.
Jordan Bowery curled home a fourth 11 minutes from time after cutting in from the right and finding the far corner, again giving Bull no chance.
Moussa blazed past the post after a good burst from midfield and Bowery had an effort well turned away by Bull before seeing a header drift just wide.
