Wanderers collected their first away win of the campaign as the 'Kev and Bev show' earned a deserved 2-0 victory at Stevenage at the Lamex Stadium.
Kevin Betsy headed home a deep cross from Gareth Ainsworth on 35 minutes to open the scoring with the game's first real effort on target, after Stevenage had failed to fully clear Matt Bloomfield's corner.
And on the stroke of half-time, Stuart Beavon ended a fine flowing move with a close range tap-in after Ainsworth's shot had bounced back off the post.
A second-half rally from Stevenage never materialised and Wycombe were able to hold on for a comfortable success, lifting them into the top seven.
Gary Waddock named an unchanged side from the one that beat Barnet 4-2 in midweek, with Stuart Beavon and Chris Westwood keeping their places in the starting XI.
Stevenage were the first to threaten on nine minutes when Scott Laird's deflected effort flew past Wycombe's right-hand post.
Wycombe responded well and fired a couple of warning signs Stevenage's way via crosses from both flanks, before Stuart Beavon headed wide another Gareth Ainsworth delivery.
Openings were proving hard to come by with the majority of the play taking place in the centre of midfield, but a cynical foul on Ainsworth by Darius Charles brought about the opening goal.
After Andy Sandell's initial shot was cleared, Ainsworth retrieved the ball and found Kevin Betsy at the back post who looped a header past Chris Day to score his first goal of the season and put Wycombe 1-0 up on 35 minutes.
One turned into two on the stroke of half-time and a contender for goal of the season. Andy Sandell's throw-in in the left-back slot was worked on to Ben Strevens, who chested the ball down for Kevin Betsy to thread a perfect ball through to the onrushing Gareth Ainsworth. The winger's shot across goal bounced off the past and into the path of Beavon, who tapped home to cap a wonderfully worked goal.
The Blues' two-goal lead clearly riled Boro boss Graham Westley and he responded by making two changes at the break, bringing on Yemi Odubade and David Bridges for Charlie Griffin and Scott Laird. The switch seemed to galvanise the home side in the opening stages of the second half, and Alan Bennett needed to be alert to clear a low drilled cross from Lawrie Wilson in the six-yard box.
But as the entertainment factor grew, the Blues were equally threatening going forward as the hosts, and the excellent Stuart Beavon could have grabbed his second following a fine flick from Gareth Ainsworth on 63 minutes, but the striker's effort was deflected wide.
At the other end, Jon Ashton passed up a great chance to halve the deficit five minutes later when he headed wide from six yards following a cross from Darius Charles.
And the game flowed from end to end, with Ben Strevens coming to close to his first league goal for the club when Lewis Montrose's clever pass picked him out in the area, but keeper Chris Day dashed from his line to divert the ball behind for a corner.
Both sides had a couple of half-chances each to trouble the scorers but in truth the full-time result was never in doubt as the Blues held on for a second consecutive win which suggests that Wycombe's season is well and truly up and running.
