Wanderers collected their first victory since the opening day of the campaign with an entertaining 4-2 win over Barnet at Adams Park.
The Blues raced into a 3-0 half-time lead courtesy of Andy Sandell's headed double and a long-range thunderbolt from Lewis Montrose, although Phil Walsh gave the visitors hope with a fine goal from 25 yards with 16 minutes remaining.
Matt Bloomfield restored the three-goal cushion with a smart finish from the edge of the area but Steve Kabba responded immediately to make it 4-2, poking home after Wycombe struggled to deal with a deep cross to the impressive Phil Walsh.
Gary Waddock made two changes for the clash with the Bees, with Stuart Beavon and Chris Westwood replacing Scott Davies and Dave Winfield (ill) as the Blues reverted to a 4-4-2 formation.
After soaking up some early Barnet pressure, Wanderers burst into life. Firstly, Stuart Beavon saw a low drive cannon back off the right post before Andy Sandell forced a smart save from Jake Cole after being picked out by a Matt Bloomfield corner.
Barnet bounced back and Nikki Bull had to be alert to deny Glenn Poole on 15 minutes after the ex-Brentford man had been found wide on the right.
But, against the run of play, Wycombe broke the deadlock on 20 minutes when Andy Sandell thumped a header past Jake Cole from a Matt Bloomfield corner. Not quite as spectacular as his free-kick on Saturday against Shrewsbury, but just as important.
And Montrose followed in Sandell's footsteps by scoring his second goal in as many games five minutes later with a stunning 25-yard drive which arrowed into the top left-hand corner.
Sandell scored his second and Wycombe's third of the night on 41 minutes, converting another Matt Bloomfield corner with a well-placed header from an unmarked position, although keeper Jake Cole will feel he should have kept it out.
Moments later Sandell went within inches of sealing a memorable hat-trick with a fierce free-kick which fizzed just wide of Cole's far post, but Wycombe could be more than satisfied with their 3-0 lead at the break which prompted the visitors to make two changes during the interval, introducing Charlie Taylor and Phil Walsh for Ricky Holmes and Glenn Poole.
The double change failed to spark much life into the visitors though and Wycombe appeared to be settled, with Ben Strevens and Kevin Betsy both having half chances to extend the lead further.
But after a fairly low-key opening to the half, Wycombe began to take advantage of a weary Barnet defence and stretched the game, carving open a series of half chances from which Kevin Betsy and Matt Bloomfield were unable to capitalise.
And Barnet were given a sniff of an unlikely comeback when Phil Walsh continued the recent trend of excellent goals being scored at Adams Park, firing home in style from 25 yards with an effort which dipped over Nikki Bull and into the back of the net.
All of a sudden, the contest had developed into a meaningful affair and Mark Marshall epitomised the visitors' new-found confidence with a snap-shot which rose over the crossbar from inside the area.
The Blues' victory was virtually assured on 85 minutes when Matt Bloomfield finished with composure from the edge of the area, seeing his well-placed shot bounce off the inside of the post and into the net, but the Bees responsed immediately when Steve Kabba turned home from close range following a deep cross.
Late urgency from the Bees provided a fast tempo finish to the game with Phil Walsh heading over at the back post, before Jerome Federico came on for the Blues to mark his first ever senior appearance in place of Ben Strevens.
